The Town of Caledon, Community and Human Services Department is requesting submissions from organizations interested in participating as an Artist Vendor at the 2024 Caledon Creative Arts Festival (“CCAF”).
The CCAF will be held on September 28th, 2024 11:00am to 4:00pm at Caledon East Community Complex, 6215 Old Church Rd, Caledon East, ON L7C 1J7. The Caledon Creative Arts Festival is in its third year and is expected to attract approximately 800 attendees on event day.
The Town is interested in receiving applications that will enhance the aim of connecting the vibrant and diverse community of local artists, authors, performers and creatives with residents of and visitors to Caledon.
Please note there is a $25.00 vendor fee that is applicable for all 10x10 vendor spaces. You will be required to pay this fee in order to confirm your spot at the event. All tents must be secured by weights. Four (4) weights are needed to secure a standard 10’x10’ tent. Weights will be available for purchase for $5.00 per weight (minimum purchase is 4 weights).
We are so excited to begin accepting applications for this event. Please note that the following will be considered when evaluating and selecting applications:
- Preference will be given to artists residing or working within Caledon.
- Wares, pieces of art, books and other items should be handmade, performed, designed, written or created by the individual(s) applying to participate
- The reselling of bath and skincare products, toys, and gemstones will not be considered
- Vendor applications from multi-level marketing, network marketing, referral marketing, franchised businesses, or businesses based on reselling will not be considered
There will be ZERO tolerance for works, materials or messaging promoting or representing hate, violence or discrimination of any kind. Kindness, acceptance and celebration are the only accepted attitudes at the CCAF.
Please note, the Town will not grant any product or service vendor exclusivity at the CCAF. All vendors must be onsite and open between the hours of 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.
All responses must comply with the Town’s risk management and insurance requirements to be involved at a Town operated event. The Town reserves the right to decline submissions from applicants based on past experiences and interactions with Town staff and elected officials.

Once applicants are notified of successful applications, the Town of Caledon will require business or personal contact information to secure Commercial Liability Insurance for all vendors, performers and participants in the execution of the event.
Process
- Respondent(s) to submit their completed Response by the Submission Deadline of Friday, June 14th at 5:00pm.
- The Town will review all Respondent submissions and may contact Respondent(s) that the Town feels present the most favourable responses and are in alignment with the vision and mandate of the Town of Caledon.
- The Town will determine the best suited submissions for consideration and advancement.
- Respondent name and supplied information may be made public.
